I would like to think the pictures say it all, but someone thought the shirt I wore on St. Patrick's Day to announce our "news" said Kiss Me I'm Irish with an arrow pointing down...that would make me a naughty Irish gal if it did! Yes, that is a baby bump...there really wasn't a bump on St. Pat's day but the other photo was taken on 4/13 and definitely shows a bump. I am finally feeling HUMAN after several months of all-day sickness, which is perhaps why I finally decided to start this blog. I have to thank Maria, my sister-in-law, for gently encouraging me to do this. I am a very sentimental person and love to document things, and while I was not really in the mood to document for you how things might have tasted the second time around (not good usually), now that I am more or less over the hump of the all-day sickness (seriously, it truly was all day...I've read so many things where it must have been a man who named it morning sickness), I am glad I decided to do this so I can remember everything. I can honestly tell you that there are things on my work to do list along the lines of "check email and voicemail" because I am so forgetful these days - that is apparently called pregnant brain. And i don't want to forget some of the funny things that have happened along this journey, which both John and I were a little surprised to find ourselves on earlier this year - but it's all good. I will try to do an update soon that kind of recaps the first 17 weeks since i'm just starting this now...but I can smell the meatballs I am making, and the fact that I want to eat them is such a change from the first 16 weeks that I must go and enjoy them right now!
