Christmas Photo Shoot

While we were in Chicago for Thanksgiving weekend, we did some family photos for our Christmas card. It worked out great because Maria, Craig and the kids put up their Christmas tree on Friday morning, so that afternoon we did some photos with it as a backdrop.

Tommy was very cooperative as far as wearing the "holiday" outfit that I bought for him.  He did tell me that the turtleneck and sweater were "too heavy," which is a term he uses a lot lately when we are getting dressed - it applies to both clothes and shoes actually.  So I'm never sure if he means something different - like maybe it's itchy, or the shoes are too small...but he was a good sport, as I promised him we'd take the sweater off after we did the pictures.

"Oooooh!!!! Christmas Tree!"

This isn't too dangerous looking, is it? I think we all got hit with this at some point during the photo shoot.

And of course we had to take a few of Tommy with his Aunt Ria and Oma! Funny, how in these, he was much more cooperative!!!

And of course, this little boy is very curious...I can't wait to see what he does when we put up our tree this weekend!

The funniest thing now that we are back home, is that Tommy calls all of the lights we see on houses, "ornaments." He gets very excited when we see them; I think we'll have a lot of fun driving around this holiday season to look at all the houses decorated with their "ornaments!"
