SEVEN MONTHS ALREADY???!!!!

Happy 7 month birthday to me! Saturday morning, in his favorite jumparoo!
Our little boy was 7 months old yesterday! He is probably between 17 and 18 pounds, so he has pretty much tripled his birth weight. He is wearing 6-9 month, 6-12 month and 9 month size clothes, though today we couldn't get him buttoned into one of his 6-9 month overalls! Yikes! He is sitting up very well and LOVES to sit on the floor surrounded by toys that he reaches for. He is probably going to end up on The Price is Right as one of his favorite toys is this Spin, Spin A Letter/Animals have Something to Say thing we got him for Christmas (see pictures below - it's the round thing near the edge of the blankets), and he LOVES to spin it constantly! He also loves when I mimic the animal sounds it makes. Loving the basketball hoop from his Aunt Maria and Uncle Craig!

Food wise, he is down to 4 bottles a day, drinking about 18-25 ounces a day, depending on how he is feeling, if his teeth are bothering him, and how much he eats in the way of solids. Breakfast is always cereal with some fruit mixed in, and he usually eats a 3.5 ounce tub of that. Lunch he'll either have a half or whole 3.5 ounce tub of fruits or veggies, and for dinner I try to do the opposite of what he had for lunch, though tonight he had 3.5 ounces of veggies and 3/5 ounces of fruit, and then maybe 3 bites of some fruit with granola. He is, however, preferring the fruits over the veggies. I've been experimenting with some different "meals" (haha) from Gerber - he likes his peas, carrots, squash and sweet potatoes, sometimes the green beans, but not a fan of the vegetable risotto or macaroni and chees with veggies...or some of the other veggie dinners I've tried. He's pretty "traditional" it seems with his eating habits - which is not surprising, considering I was once told by a nutritionist that I was not a picky eater, but a traditional eater. But Tommy is loving the fruits - which I am still happy about, considering I am not much of a fruit person. I try - I will buy healthy at the grocery store and then the stuff just sits there and goes bad.

Tommy is feeling MUCH better from last week's double ear infection and double pink eye. The pink eye cleared up very quickly once we started the eye drops, and he was in school all week. He had been pretty good taking the oral antibiotics for the previous ear infections, but this time he was not liking the Zithromax, which he was on for both the ear infections and pink eye, which the doctor said was not her first choice for the ear infection, but she wanted something to treat both. The good thing was that we only had to give it to him for 5 days, not 10, like the previous 2 times. His cough is still lingering a bit, but that's usually the last thing to go even when we adults are sick, right? He is still pretty good about the nebulizer treatments, though sometimes he'll fight us. So we stick him in front of Dora, or the Wonder Pets, or whatever show is on Nick Jr., so he can be distracted while we do the treatment. We have a follow up appointment on Tuesday night with the doctor.
We went for a walk on Saturday, sporting our new hat and shades for the sun. Tommy did not want to sit back and relax, but sit up and take in everything around him!

About halfway through our walk, look how Tommy fell asleep, leaning into the tray on his stroller. Mommy was checking on him every 2 minutes! ADDED DISCLAIMER!! As soon as I realized he fell asleep like this I got him to lay back in the stroller for the rest of the walk!

Here is Tommy on Sunday, rocking another cool hat and those shades.
