We celebrated Tuxedo's birthday on Monday, September 5th...not sure that's his actual birthday, but based on how old we think he was when we officially brough thim home, that's the date we picked for his birthday eight years ago. My brother found him in a parking lot at while in grad school back in 2003, and brought him home. He and his wife had another cat at the time, who they took from a friend because she did not do well with other cats, so they could not keep Tux. My parents already had two cats. John and I had just purchased and moved into our first home that September, and my mom called to say, "it's time to start your animal family!" Thus, Tuxedo became our first "baby." Happy Birthday Tuxedo!
With Tommy's SECOND birthday this Saturday, we wanted to practice having him blow the candle out, and since we told him Tux could not blow out the candle himself, Tommy agreed that he would do the honors. Here are 2 videos of our little party on Monday night...not surprisingly, the real skittish Tux would not oblige us with an appearance, but Tommy's stuffed Tux did participate, along with the new stuffed Tails that Oma brought with her this week while she is staying with us to celebrate Tommy's birthday.
I love how he wants to make sure Tails is included when we are singing in the first video (his birthday is October 20th), and how he says a random "hi" in the second video...perhaps he knew he was being videotaped?
Tomorrow is the BIG day, however...my little baby is turning TWO years old! We are having a Dora and Diego themed party, and there will be a special guest coming to the party to play with the kids! Come back for a recap after the weekend!
