Hope everyone had a nice Easter! I went to the Easter Vigil mass alone on Saturday night so I could actually sit and listen to what was going on for a change, since it's rather difficult to do that when week after week we're in the cry room with Tommy and a bunch of other families. No joke, SIX people asked me where Tommy was, all disappointed he was not there, including one of the young seminarians who seems to have hit it off with Tommy and vice versa. Tommy was a little under the weather with a cough and runny nose, and the fact that he barely gets through the weekly hour mass, I was pretty sure it would be a nightmare for what ended up being a two hour service. He aparently is the entertainment portion of the mass...do your parishes provide that???
Sunday ended up being a pretty long day for all of us, and last night Tommy awoke with NIGHT TERRORS as a result of being overstimulated, overtired, and probably having had a few too many chocolates and "fruity snacks" throughout the day and almost no "real" food. He had a one hour nap on the ride to my sister's house, and was pretty much on the go all day between hunting for eggs, playing ball outside, runnng after bubbles, and playing with the three puppies at my sister's house...and cousin Lexi. He was a little gun shy with the Easter Bunny when we saw him in the afternoon, but I think it was all the other stuff surrounding the day (and the gifts the bunny bestowed upon Tommy) that were the culprits.
It's been such a long time since his last one, I at first did not know what the problem was. I actually used to "prepare" myself for them after a long day such as the one we had yesterday, so the anticipation ended up being much worse than the actually episodes IF they even happened, which a lot of times they did not. Poor kid was kicking and screaming and crying as if someone was torturing his entire body. John brought him into our bed where we tried to calm and soothe him, and make sure he did not get hurt. Eventually he did come out of it, and sat there as if in shock for a few seconds, looked at both of us, then snuggled in with me and cried a little bit before falling back asleep. He did not remember anything about it this morning, but he was pretty tired and wanted his blanket as if to take an early nap when I dropped him off at daycare.
Our day started off early with a hunt for eggs around our house and checking out what the Easter Bunny dropped off the night before after Tommy went to bed.

| Shaking the egg to see if it's a real one or a really good one, with money inside! |
| "I found another one!" |
| Tommy was sidetracked from egghunting when he spotted this display on the couch. |
| Someone was very excited about the M&Ms! |
| Organizing the eggs by real ones, and REALLY GOOD ONES...WITH MONEY IN THEM! |
| Love me some Easter smiles |
| "I hear money!" |
John had to work the Easter brunch at his golf club, so Tommy and I went up for the Easter egg hunt and to see the Easter Bunny. We also went to see the fish in the pond, some farm animals they brought in as a petting zoo, and Tommy took a ride on a pony. Then we had to wait for John to get off from work so we could head to my sister's...the boy had no interest in eating any real food, but was quick to find some things he wanted on the dessert table, and he was overdue for a nap. Overall he was pretty good, but he had a classic line that signaled to me he was DONE, "Mommy, I want to go and wait in the car." So we did, though not for too long, fortunately.

| Found a purple one, of course, as it's his latest favorite color! |
| This is where he first spotted the Easter Bunny coming towards him |
| We all had to be in the picture if we were going to get a decent one with the Easter Bunny! |
| Such a big boy, holding on by himself for the pony ride! |
| I see the fishies! |
| How adorable and grown up is he in this outfit? |
| This cupcake was essentially Tommy's lunch since he refused to eat. |
| First time having jellybeans too, which were on the cupcake...yum! |
Although I always say I wish I lived closer to my family, I was actually grateful to have a one hour drive to my sister's house so that Tommy would hopefully get in a nap during that timeframe, which he thankfully did. Upon arrival, cousin Lexi took him out back for ANOTHER egg hunt. He also got an Easter basket from his Aunt Karyn, Uncle Dave and Lexi, as well as a bag of gifts from Meema and Pop-Pop. Another excuse to eat snacks and no dinner! Lexi also had him outside playing bubbles and ball for a while, and he loved running around inside and outside with Lexi's 2 dogs and her other grandma's dog. But if you ask him if he wants a dog, he's a loyal guy, saying, "No, we have two kitty cats." More reason for Tux and Tails to love him!
| The start of the 3rd egghunt of the day! |
| Love.love.love. |
| He preferred to carry multiple eggs rather than carry the basket around with him to put the eggs into as he found them! |
| One eye on the basket at all times, as Tommy was concerned the dogs were going to steal them! |
| Briar, begrudgingly playing the role of the Easter Bunny |
| Lexi and Tommy at the conclusion of the hunt |

| Posing on the ski lift (swing) to review what was collected |

| Happy Easter! |
Here's hoping that we'll be back on a regular schedule now that Easter is behind us. I'm sure Tommy will fight me as I take the decorations down, as he does for every holiday. On the drive to school today, Tommy asked for me to turn on "McNamara's Band" for him to listen to. He loved it leading up to St. Patrick's Day, and still requested it after it was over for about a week. He's determined to keep it festive year around apparently with all of the holidays!
Great pictures of your little guy! I know just what you mean about those night terrors. Hope they go away.
