Two Week Doctor's Appointment

Yesterday, Thomas was 2 weeks old! We went to the doctor for our first official appointment - last week we took him in for a weigh in since he was so tiny and the doctor did a quick check up on him. Yesterday he got completely checked out! He is 2 for 2, having peed BOTH times on the examination table and/or the scale! When we went last Friday, TJ weight 5 lbs., 11 oz, a gain of about 5 ounces since leaving the hospital. Yesterday, he weighed 6 lbs., 3 oz., so we were very relieved to find out that Tommy is definitely getting enough food from me! Because he is so tiny, it's so hard to tell. So he has surpassed his birth weight - yeah! He also grew an inch since his arrival into the world - now 20.5 inches. He also got his first shot - the hepatitis B vaccine. I could not watch; John did and said he made the cutest face and then screamed. The photo of the two of us sleeping was taken yesterday by John; we were both exhausted from the doctor's visit!

We finally received the pictures from the hospital that we had taken there, along with a CD of all the poses so we can print the photos on our own rather than pay the crazy prices that they charge for the packages. Not that the CD was cheap, but we know in the long run it was a better deal to be able to order the photos we want ourselves. Above is one of the photos from the CD; I ordered the birth announcements today and picked 3 photos to go on it - very difficult to choose which ones because they were all so cute!

This morning TJ and Mommy went for their first solo walk around the neighborhood as it was such a beautiful day. Previously we'd been out with Grandma Barb and Daddy. It was good to get some fresh air. It's about time for changing and feeding again, so until next time, thanks for checking in on us!
