How cute are these pictures of Tommy with his Grandma and Opa? I love how he is looking at Opa Chris and checking him out!
Opa Chris really loved Tommy's "smiling eyes" and Grandma was pretty cool with Tommy tugging on her mouth and nose all weekend too!
Mother's Day Tea at Tommy's daycare - Tommy showing off holding his bottle, and helping Mommy plant a flower. All Tommy really wanted was to bang the green flowerpot on the table!
Grandma Barb torturing, I mean tickling Tommy; Tommy jumping on Grandma Cathy, and hanging with Pop-Pop back at the house after tea with the ladies. In the picture with my dad, I think Tommy looks like my brother when he was little!
The night Tommy was mistaken for a girl (can anyone see that in this first picture? I don't think so!); Tommy and Opa in their matching outfits that they did NOT coordinate with each other on!
Tommy taking a break from gnawing on one of his crocs; giving Daddy a look that says, "why is Mommy making me wear this sweater thing?" I had to put him in it - when I got it as a gift, I could not wait to put it on him, and this was the first time I could because it was so cool on Sunday!
Happy Mother's Day! Sorry Mom, I know you are probably not going to like these 2 of you but you would have hated the others I had even more! Tommy hanging with Briar, one of my sister's dogs - right after that picture was taken, Briar rolled on her side as if to ask Tommy to rub her tummy. Then she pushed him over with her front paws - it was quite funny and I think I got it on the flip video! She did not mean anything by it - it was her way of "owning" him I think because that dog just loves me and I think finally accepts that he belongs to me!
Last moments with Grandma and Opa :(. How cute does that little man look in that middle picture? I dropped Tommy off at daycare on Monday, and told the teachers that John was bringing his parents by in a little bit to say one last goodbye. The teachers were able to keep Tommy from going down for his nap until they arrived, and he even got Grandma to change one last poopie diaper before they headed off to the airport!
Happy 8 months birthday Thomas John! I love your face in these pictures! It really shows what a happy baby you are ALL the time!
Not trying too hard to crawl...because all he wants to do is stand up, as you can see in the next photo taken before he went to bed tonight!
Still no teeth, but the little man is eating like crazy! I can't believe how much food he is going through these days! Definitely planning to pick up some stage 3 foods on the next grocery run, and maybe start mashing up some of my own stuff like mashed potatoes and peas or carrots and see how that goes. Also need to get some other cookies, as the Arrowroots, which he enjoys nibbling on, break kind of easy and I'm afraid he is going to end up snapping a piece off that is too big that he puts in his mouth.
Still can't believe our little boy arrived on the scene 8 months ago already! One of the teachers from the next class up was in the Baby Buds room when I picked up tonight, as her 10 week old is now in Tommy's class. She asked when Tommy turned one, and was very excited to hear she only had to wait 4 months for him to move up to her class. She also commented on how much more hair he had compared to before she went on maternity leave, which we had also noticed. It really is fun to watch how much he changes every day!
Happy Birthday Tommy!
