It's only one night, so I'm not getting overly excited, but Tommy woke up in his crib this morning without me having to get up with him at all during the night! He did wake up a few times and cry, but got himself settled back to sleep relatively quickly. His "orange guy" from Oma Cathy has been very helpful I think! (Seriously, does anyone know his name????) I last heard him around 3:30am, and the crying went on for a little longer than the previous times, so I got up and went to the bathroom first. Good choice, because by the time I came out, all was quiet. I have to admit, I don't think I slept that well, however, as I must have been subconciously waiting to hear him!

I love when I get my hands on the remote!
They think I like to watch Nick Jr., but I've changed it to ESPN!
Playing with the magnets on the fridge...drives mommy crazy when I knock them all over the floor!Tommy is also taking whole milk in some of his bottles. I have been putting about 4-6 ounces total for the day in his bottles, so 2-3 bottles a day have some milk in it. He drinks 6 ounces for his first 3-4 bottles, and then his last bottle he has 8 ounces total. Depending on the day, he will have either 4 or 5 bottles. He is spending more time in the Rose Blossoms classroom, and the head teacher there told me today that he gets scared when he gags on some of the food I send in. She suggested I continue to send in the tubs of Stage 2 foods, and also to maybe put the purees that I make in those plastic tubs. She says he is very smart, and might know that when I send in the colored plastic containers that it's different than what he is accustomed to! Booger! I have to say, when he is done with his veggies at home, I can bring out a jar of fruit and ask him if he wants some, and he gives me this little sly smile that says, "why of course I would Mom!" I would not be surprised if the boy knows exactly what he's doing. I know I judge food by its packaging sometimes myself, and probably did as a child and drove my mom crazy! Funny, I have been buying fresh fruit and veggies and spending time at night pureeing and freezing stuff...the freezer has about 24 different containers (2 oz.) of various fruits and veggies that I "cooked" for him. I admit I'm a little anxious about getting Tommy on table food, but as I've been told by many, including Tommy's teachers, some kids just take a little longer, and he just might not be ready.
Today's note from the Rose Blossoms teachers said that Tommy is moving SO fast around the classroom, and that he will be walking in no time! I definitely believe that, as he took another six steps for me on Thursday when we got home from school. And he tries to stand up in the middle of the floor a lot too without holding on to anything. He does this in the bathtub too, which freaks me out, but I still have him in his inflatable rubber ducky tub in the big tub.
Still no teeth either...so funny that 3 weeks ago Dr. Nito looked and said, it will be any day...and here we are 3 "any weeks" later with nothing to show for it! I'm told this means the teeth will be "stronger", whatever that is supposed to mean. If they are stronger, will they take longer to fall out then when that time comes?
