Is it REALLY 2011?

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yes, I know I'm a few days behind...we weren't even in town for the snowstorm and it through everything off for the past week around our house!

My mom came down to stay for a few days around New Year's. She watched him Thursday night when we went to my boss's house for a get together, and raved about how good he was getting ready for bed for her as well as going in his crib to go to sleep. Oddly, he's been fighting us the past few nights at bedtime, so we're trying to work through that a little. Watching a soothing Baby Einstein video before we go upstairs seems to help a little. Almost helps Mommy a little too much as it makes me really sleepy when I have a lot still to do AFTER Tommy goes to bed! Mom also watched Tommy when we went out New Year's Eve - from about 11:15 til 12:45! John had to work at the club so we did not go to the party we were invited to until he finished up. So we were out 2 nights in a row without Tommy...let's go CRAZY, right???

Passed out on New Year's Day from the wild party he must have had with Grandma...even though he was asleep when we left for our party!

Bringing his selections out for Tux and Tails to choose from (Tommy does not believe me that it's all the same stuff in every single can...just like Tux and Tails. They can't believe we give them the same crappy prescription food every morning and every night.)

Our family photo for the 2010 holiday season...taken in very early 2011 since we realized we'd never taken one at Christmas! Unfortunately, we could not convince Tux and Tails to sit nicely for the photo.

We are so excited for many more fun days with our little Tom-Tom. We are quickly approaching the 16 month old mark. Today we got a note from daycare that Tommy will begin transitioning up to the Little Acorns room on January 31st, with the plan being he will be in that room full time starting on February 28th. The year is already flying by and it just started! But it's so much fun to watch things unfold through Tommy's eyes!
