He is a Character!

I had to work the last home basketball game on Sunday, and since John was off, we decided he and Tommy should come to watch the game. Tommy clapped and cheered along with the crowd for Rutgers - he is so funny to watch respond to what those around him ar doing! And he loves anything with balls, so watching the game was fun for him.

Tommy was introduced to the Scarlet Knight at the game, and had no problem with this character meeting - something I know can be a little scary for a lot of kids when meeting any "character" at a theme park, birthday party, etc. He has met a few characters who have visited at day care - I do recall Sponge Bob Squarepants and Patrick being on the calendar a few months ago, and I think those meetings went well!

Tommy's got a good grip on his cup, fearing the Scarlet Knight might want a sip...though he always offers Tux and Tails a drink from it!

He seemed pretty mesmerized by this character!

View from the court end - took his eyes off the cheerleaders when Daddy called him out on looking at them!

When the crowd started banging on the bleachers, Tommy joined in and started doing the same on the barricades, rooting for Rutgers to rally at the end of the game

Post game I let Tommy run around on the court, which I unfortunately did not have the camera with me to take pictures. He was funny to watch, trying to join some older kids who were shooting baskets. He had his mini basketball with him, and thought they might want to play with him! He is going to have lots of fun coming to games in the future!

Below is a videos from later that night, showing Tommy jumping on the couch and "falling down." He had fun playing that game with my mom the previous weekend, and discovered that playing it on the couch is even more fun. How about the air he gets? I think he's going to enjoy a trampoline in a few years! I had another video, but it didn't load into the blog for some reason. Enjoy!
