The Saddest Cut

Tommy needed a haircut as his bedhead was out of control in recent weeks.  So on Saturday, after swim lessons (week 4 - he did AWESOME - no crying, and Mommy dunked him under the water without any crying on Tommy or Mommy's part!).

This was his second haircut, but of course we had the camera with us to capture the experience on film, as I wanted to see if this second time would be any different than the first.  We had the same girl - I think it's only the one girl who owns the salon who is actually there even though there are 4 chairs - 3 different "cars" for little kids like Tommy that they can be buckled into, and then one regular chair for bigger kids.  She did spend more time on the cut this time - the first time he really just needed what I thought was a mullet cut off and a little trimming to control the bed head.  This time, she said, "it looks like he needs a little shaping" when I explained that he had constant bedhead.  He definitely has more hair growing in than he did 3 months ago.  So here's what went down:

Hanging in the school bus just as if he were at school

Loving the trains, as it's a much bigger track set up than what he has at home

What you see here started as soon as the cape went on him

Crocodile tears...how sad is this?

Much calmer, enjoying a little Diego on the TV after Mommy wiped his tears away

He did not fight us too much even though he was obviously upset.  I couldn't get a good shot to show off the new haircut in full, but he looks so sweet and grown up yet still like a baby to me.  He could not wait to get back to playing with the trains when he was let out of the chair - forgot about how traumatic the haircut was relatively quickly.
