Happy Birthday Maamaw!

We LOVE when Grandma comes to visit and got her for the 3rd weekend in a row! And if you count the weekend prior to the last 3 when we were up in Bayonne, we've had her 4 straight weekends!  Saturday was her birthday and Tommy and I were the lucky ones because we had her all to ourselves this weekend!  John had his college reunion out in Ohio, and everyone else was all over the map as well...so we'll be doing a belated celebration once the gift we all chipped in on comes in!  Tommy is finally saying his version of Grandma too - it's more like Ma'am-maw, and we love it!  And we're pretty sure he even said Happy Birthday, though the Birthday part was a little bit mumble jumbled.  Happy Birthday Maamaw!
Hugging and kissing Grandma before kickin her off of  "Nommy's" chair!
My mom brought a few fun things for Tommy with her since my brother and sister-in-law cleaned out the basement to have a garage sale.  Tommy really enjoyed his latest sets of wheels. Remember I mentioned we need a separate garage for all of his "wheels?"  Here's two more!

Rock and Roll Big Wheel...he can't quite reach the pedals but we can flip the push thing to go underneath and he can rock on this one!

Tommy's first trike...even though he couldn't pedal, he knew how to make it go!

I think he would go through withdrawal if he did not play with this ball at least once a day!
This past week at school, they had us send in bathing suits for water play because it was so warm, and they still like to get the kids outside in the fresh air if possible, so rather than wait until summer 'camp' starts, they've had the water table and sprinklers outside for the kids. Tommy loved the water table last year, and enjoyed it last week too. We took a trip to Babies R Us on Saturday and I managed to get the LAST one that was on clearance for only $30, plus I had a gift card for $10. I put it together on Sunday and Tommy could not wait to go outside to use it, even though it was a cool and cloudy day.

The water bottle is more fun than the toys that came with the table

Organizing all the "food" from his grocery cart that is in the water table

So funny to watch him walk in flip-flops...have to hide them because he always wants to wear them...just like his sandals.

Easier to lay across the table to get something than to walk around

Finally took a nap at 2:45pm...which is around the time he usually wakes up from naps at daycare

You'd think he napped for at least 3 hours the way he's out, right?  Try 1 hour.

Special thanks to my mom for staying with us this weekend while John was away! You can come to your "shore" house every weekend!
