We arrived in Arizona on Thursday evening, but I have no pictures from the airport or from when we first arrived at my aunt's house because the photos somehow disappeared from the camera. So did many of the ones in this post, but oddly, they then reappeared on the camera a day later. But Friday was really our first full day of the visit.
My Aunt Denise took John, Tommy and I to a park for Tommy to enjoy and run around, but it was a bit too hot for us to stay outside too long. Tommy kept saying "too hot", but he did have fun for a while, as part of the park was covered under a big building.
After the park, my aunt dropped us off at John's cousin's house, where we stayed with Dennis and his wife Kim. They have a dog, DC, and a tortoise, Mr. Turtle, both of whom Tommy was enamored with! We also watched the Rutgers game that night, which was a loss. So weird to be watching a game at 5pm that I normally would have watced at 8pm. Kim picked up some delicious pizza and we enjoyed catching up with one another. Tommy took a real liking to Dennis, and Dennis had just as much fun with Tommy I think!

With regards to Tommy's red belly, we are pretty certain that Tommy is allergic to the saliva of certain dogs, as he has developed hives a few times after getting licked, mostly on his face. It hasn't happened with all dogs, but it might be because they didn't all lick him. He did have a reaction to my aunt's dogs on Thursday night, so I picked up some Children's Claritin on Friday to have just in case we needed it. We only had to give him one chewable on Friday night while visiting Dennis and Kim. And he did not have a reaction the rest of the weekend, which did consist of lots of kisses from the "puppies" as Tommy referred to all of them. And the puppies seemed to enjoy Tommy as much as he did them!
