Tommy was looking forward to attending his second ever Rutgers Football game. He attended his first game last October. Mommy was excited too, even though she'd be working the game and not hanging out with Tommy. She ran out and bought Tommy some Rutgers pajamas and a new shirt to wear.

| Twas the night before Tommy's 2nd Rutgers game... |
Daddy and Tommy arrived for the game midway through the 1st quarter because someone needed a nap.
Rutgers was hosting Pittsburgh, and Rutgers was NOT favored. In fact, we're picked to finish last in the Big East Conference.

| Tommy taunting the Pitt fans as they walked the concourse |

| Tommy eyes some tailgates going on in the parking lot he'd like to go to |
 |
| What's outside the gates apparently is more interesting than what's on the field |
 |
| Ohhhh....what's that I see over yonder? |
 |
| BUBBLE! |
 |
| Yes, my son was enthralled with the indoor practice bubble our athletic teams use |

| Schmoozing in the marketing box that he crashed |
Unfortunately for Daddy, he didn't get to see much of the game. He texted me at the end of the 1st quarter and at halftime to say they were leaving! I talked him into staying both times, and was able to bring them up to the marketing/sponsor box that I never get to enjoy because I'm always working, and Tommy was MUCH happier. The noise in the stadium was a little overwhelming for Tommy. The crowd was electric, the music was pumping, and the cannon going off every time we scored would scare anyone who wasn't expecting it. It even makes me jump, and I know the thing is going to go off!
By the end of the 3rd quarter, however, Tommy was done, as was Daddy, since he was not really getting to watch the game. Tommy fell asleep in the car on the ride home and Daddy got to listen to the last quarter on the radio.
It was actually a good thing they left early, as the crowd stayed til the end so the traffic was worse than usual because no one else left early to beat the traffic since it was such a good game...which Rutgers WON! And we've now beaten both teams that are defecting to the ACC. Rutgers is 2-0 in games that Tommy has attended! Just have to get him used to the noise...or else buy him some headphones to block out the noise like they use at racetracks!
