Golfing (or is it Goofing?) Around

Aunt Maria (or Ria, as Tommy calls her) flew in to visit for a long weekend in mid August.  I picked her up at the airport on Thursday afternoon, and she and Oma went with me to pick up Tommy at daycare and then we went up to the golf club to meet John for dinner.  It was a gorgeous night, so we got to eat outside.  When we arrived, Daddy drove over to meet us in the golf cart, which Tommy got to ride in!

Okay, now I'm feeling more outgoing

Had to have a big boy cup with a straw just like everyone else!

On a mission to see what this game of golf is all about

Tommy: "I don't know what's so hard about dropping a ball in the cup!"

Seriously, I will show you how easy it is folks!

In case you missed it, this is how you get it done!

Apparently there are some opponents you want to avoid on the course, just like when you are on the soccer field

GOAL!
Tommy entertained us running around on the 18th green. He charmed many of the members having dinner and a few on the course as well.  He was extremely well-behaved all evening, and while he refused the chicken fingers, he did enjoy the sweet potato fries. Of course it helped that we had the portable DVD player with us, which died about 20 minutes after we started it. It's a good thing we know SOMEONE who works there who dug out an extension cord and ran it to an outlet not to far from our  table!
