Weekend with Ria and Oma!

The pictures in this post are from two weeks ago, and Tommy is still talking about Oma and Ria. He gets up some mornings and looks in the guest bedroom for them.  He had so much fun with Oma being here for two weeks, and Ria's visit, while only for the weekend, was full of lots of laughs and fun for Tommy.

I took Friday off so we could spend the day doing whatever, which actually amounted to shopping (mostly for a certain little boy's birthday presents) and errands, and a delicious lunch at Pete & Elda's in Neptune. John and I had a wedding that night, so Oma and Aunt Ria were going to babysit Tommy.

On Saturday, my friend Renee was visiting from Chicago (coincidentally where Aunt Ria also lives!), so we went to a barbecue at Renee's mom's house.  Maria got some hysterical videos of Tommy in the pool, shivering. The water was freezing, but he climbed right in the pool, something he NEVER does with our baby pool at home. He also had fun on the swings and trying to hit the ball off a tee. Oma and Ria enjoyed watching Tommy play and interact with the other kids, and were very impressed with his althleticism.  I'm the mom so of course I think Tommy is awesome when it comes to kicking and throwing balls, but Oma and Ria were very impressed with how coordinated Tommy was. I think we'll have to get him in a soccer program sooner than I thought we would!
